Submission Requirements and ConDItions
(1) All photos that do not violate general ethical norms:
- Respect for human rights
- Respect for fauna and flora
- Respect for freedom
- Neutrality
- Justice
- And other general ethical norms and rules
(2) All photos that have a didactic, artistic or knowledge character.
(3) The photos can be submitted in color or black and white, as long as it is set to the camera before the photo is taken. If these are black and white, then let us know when submitting that you have set it accordingly on your camera before taking the picture.
(1) You submit your photo via the form for this purpose on the website.
(2) The photos will be submitted by December 31 of the current year at the latest.
(3) A maximum of 1 photo per person can be submitted.
(4) The person submitting the photo must have taken the submitted photo themselves.
(5) The photo should be submitted in JPEG format and should not be larger than 5 MB.
(6) You are welcome to reduce the size of the photo to 5 MB before submitting it.
(7) The photos must be taken in the current year of submission.
(8) Give the photo a descriptive short title.
(9) Write your first name and surname clearly.
(10) The submitted photo must not be edited or manipulated.
(11) Participation in the WPH Photo of the Year and in our Hobby Photography Forum is always free of charge, which means that every submission of photos is also free of charge.
(1) The description or comments on the photo should be in English.
(2) Briefly explain in a maximum of 1 sentence what interested you most during the recording.
(3) If you have more knowledge or a special experience about the photo taken, write in maximum 2 sentences what relevant knowledge or experience you associate with the photo.
(1) write when and where (country, place and date) exactly you took the photo.
(2) WPH will review the photos after submission and select the most convincing photo.
(3) The selected photo will be published no later than the 1st Saturday or Sunday of February.
(4) Your photo with your name as well as your description or comment will be published on the WPH Photo of the Year on our website: worldphotohistory.org.
(5) The selected photo and related information will remain on the website throughout the year until the next WPH Photo of the Year.
After the publication of your photo, you will be invited as a special guest to our first Forum Hobby Photography of the new year, where you can present your photographic art or talk about your techniques and experiences, possibly online. The WPH-Team will inform you about the date of the Forum Hobby Photography.
(1) By submitting your photo, you accept the rules of the WPH Photo of the Year and you also indicate that you have taken note of our statutes.
(2) By participating in the WPH Photo of the Year, you transfer all rights to the Photo to World Photo History - The World in Progress! - (WPH n.e.V.)
