WPH Photo of the YearIf you would like your photo to be selected as the WPH Photo of the Year, you can submit your photo by December 31st of the previous year. We will publish the WPH Photo of the Year on the 1st Saturday or Sunday of February at the latest.

Description or comment to the WPH Photo of the YearThe picture shows a gray heron that has stung a large fish after about 30 minutes of lurking. Grey herons have a body length of 90-98 cm and can live up to 25 years. (Read more in the book of: Hume, Rob with the title Vögel in Europa).
