Description or comment to the WPH Photo of the YearThe picture shows a gray heron that has stung a large fish after about 30 minutes of lurking. Grey herons have a body length of 90-98 cm and can live up to 25 years. (Read more in the book of: Hume, Rob with the title Vögel in Europa).
